Aruba 7220 controller for large wireless networks: it handles up to 1024 access points at 40 Gbps, over four 10 GbE ports plus two dual-media ports. It is one of the few units in our inventory still under vendor support, through February 2029. Important, and we say it up front: it ships WITHOUT access point licenses. Aruba licenses are generated against the serial number but live in the previous owner account, so they do not travel with the hardware: they must be bought new (about $65 per access point) or released by the previous owner in the licensing portal. Budget for it: on a 50 access point deployment the licenses cost considerably more than the controller.
